I am Replacing exhaust hoses. Hesitant to reinstall 41 year old clamps. I know there are good clamps available that are pricey but slightly better, where do you buy them? All I can find locally are made in PRC and I have trouble getting a 1” clamp working, don’t really trust their 3” below the water line. Thanks.

Those T bolts will crush your mufflers if you are not very careful. a little over-kill for a run about.

AWAB is the industry standard in quality.

These will last another 40 years, No worries.
Rolled edges and non perforated bands. best worm clamp you can get. Also the only clamp recommend for silicone hose not that it matters.
Remember you need two at each connection to meet the standard if that's important to you.

John,
As you mentioned, your rolled edge, non perforated best hose clamp you can buy will crush fiberglass mufflers too if you tighten them too much!

Give me a shopping list and Ill see what i can do. I have commercial accounts and Cam works at WM and can save 40% or more on stuff like this. If its worthwhile I can stuff them in one of those USPS one price boxes.
Part number and count.

Here's a picture of the high priced T bolt clamp that was mentioned in the second post in this thread by Pete

Here's a picture of what you linked to and what Baitkiller referred to

One is definitely different and a lot pricier.than the other.

Is the T bolt necessary? Only to some people

One can get 10 stainless steel 3" hose T-clamps from Amazon for less than $17.

It's a ski boat, not the space shuttle.

Wood:

I agree with the concept. When doing below-waterline applications, I like to err on the side of caution. That may not be the best place to be putting the cheapest part I can find. Just sayin'...

Hi quality T-bolts are great, and necessary ... for certain things. I have a dozen or more on my truck. But it's a turbo diesel, and they are all related to the turbo system. Pushing tons of air at 25-30 psi, the standard type clamps wouldn't last long. But with the coolant system, the AWAB clamps are just fine.
