I can see how to replace the steering cable. That's not the hard part it seems. I can't get past the ballast tank. I've taken the seat out, the floor & walls in the ski locker, the floor, the engine cover. I've loosened up the gas tank mounts and pulled it forward. But I can't get the ballast tank out of the way enough to get to the tiller arm. How do you get to the tiller arm to disconnect/reconnect the steering cable? Do I really have to remove the gas tank and a ballast tank to get to the arm? Any hints or tips from anyone? Does anyone know where I can get a repair manual (if there is one)?
