OK... I have a 1999 19’6 closed bow. The battery in the boat does not allow the top lid to close. The manual has nothing in it about Replacement type. Can anyone offer a suggestion on the type and size that allows the battery lid to seat completely down as it was designed to do! Thanks ------------- Otto |

Mine states the battery group size on the underside of the battery cover. It's in storage or I would check. ------------- |

Group 34M should work also. Choices are scarce and expensive for our boats. Both Odyssey, Northstar and Interstate make highly rated AGM's in a size that will work, but they are pricey. ------------- JCCI 1995 Ski Nautique GT40 |

The battery box lid on the boat says group 48....It is hard to find a group 48 battery. Interstate has one one for $166.00. what say the group??? Any other suggestions? ------------- Otto |

Don't buy the highest amp rated battery. The lower Amp rated batteries are in the same size case and the plates are smaller. This leaves more room for them to vibrate in a boat as you bounce over wakes without the plates touching each other. Makes for a longer life battery in a boat application. I would look at 650CCA rather than the 800+ models. It will save you money upfront and in the long run in a boat. ------------- |
