I have been seeing alot of post about the ignition conversions. I have a 87BFN with a 454 chevy. Was wondering if anyone has changed theirs over with a new electronic ign kit. If so which one did you use and do you like it?

Not sure what kit works for you...call Vince at Skidim...he will know.

IMO...switching over to EI is a major improvement if you like things that work better!

you better off getting an HEI dist more bunch better performance from the hotter spark allowing wider plug gaps and fuel usage.

I have an EI kit in my 82 SN. It has been in for about eight or nine years. No problems. No, I do not miss adjusting point gap. I bought it from SKIDIM. It really doesnt make it faster just smoother idle and less adjustments.
