My buddy and I picked up a 1977 SkiTique recently and it was on a very old trailer. We think the trailer was made by CC but the only marking on it is a number stamped on the top of the tongue. NCX631963. Does anybody have or can you point us to come information on identifying these old trailers. FYI the bow stop is rectangular on the top and the fenders are square-ish. The bunks are much shorter than the SkiTique and I’d say maybe 3’ of the boat extends beyond the bunks at the back leaving the engine right above and just forward of the axle.

Thanks in advance for any clues.

NCX is a dmv given number when someone retitles a trailer or claims homemade. Prob wasn’t from a titling state or lost title PLUS the original serial/vin number wasn’t on there. Bet it was originally on a metal plaque riveted to the side of the trailer tongue. Further I bet that ncx number is on the frame and axle if you look hard. That is what we had to do. Post some pics of the trailer and others will be able to give you more info on the timeframe. Sounds like a #2

Nevil ,
From your description, you do have a CC trailer. Old? Probably as old as the 77 Tique you bought. How's you tongue weight? That's a good indicator of the boat being positioned correctly on the trailer. No, the bunks do not need to go all the way aft to the transom. There's no reason for them to be that long. The wishbone bunks provide excellent support for the hull. Have you looked at the trailer pages in the brochures in the reference section?
