Our Ski Nautique 2001/1987 was not born as wakesurf. But even a small, smooth wave can be fun. So I built a wake shaper myself. In fact, I built three of them. The first two have perished.
- Version 1.0 > rope not well fixed
- Version 2.0 > went over 40mph (stupid I)
- Version 2.1 > still alive

You might also build your own wake shaper. It's fun, inexpensive and will do it's job for an old waterski lady. Here is what you need:

- Cutting board (ca. 30x40cm)
- Vaccum lifting pad (two suction, about 60kg suction power)
- Rope to fix the wake shaper
- 1m pipe isolation as floater
- 8 srews with screw nuts and washers
- 2 turnbuckles
- 2 rope clips
- 2 hinges
- 1 plastic hook (to fix on the boat)

I have not made a construction video. So you must use your construction imagination to build you own wake shaper. Take note of my pictures. I also took over some ideas from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC2SfqWTc3w

Any pictures of the wave and how much weight and where.
From your avatar it's looking pretty weighted down.
