I have got a "hole" in my GT 40 head. Water comes out, but only out (not inside the champer).

Casting number is F3ZE AA. If I Goggle this number I find that this head also was on many Ford street cars.

Should I buy one from a car or is it better to buy one from "skidim" ?? (if there is a difference between street/marine edition).

It seems like most of the GT 40 heads later was/are made in Aluminium.

best regards,

The only advantage to the SkiDIM heads is the brass freeze plugs- auto heads are otherwise the same. Ford installed them on both 302's (Mustang Cobra) and 351's (Lightning pickup). Assuming you have a 351w, you'll need to have the bolt holes drilled out if you get a head off a 302.

Im not sure if the GT40's were later available in aluminum. I know the GT40-X and Y heads were Al, but I dont think the design was related to the GT40. GT40p's are a completely different head as well.
