I have an 87' Nautique with a Chrysler 360 in it. Rochester carb. I have having some problems starting after it had been towed cross country. First off it has sat for 2 years before I got it, so I thought bad gas. Ran some gas and treament though it still starting issue. However, upon purchase ran great. It still runs fine but it needs a shot of starter fuild to get going after it has been sitting for awhile. I know not good for it. After intial start-up everything is fine for the rest of the day. Issue is only after sitting for a few days. I was thinking choke not working correctly. Any other thoughts. Thanks. Great to be back on this site I went without boat for 3 years...not cool.

Might need to have the carb re-built sitting for as long as it did it might be gummed up and varnished inside causing the hard to start issue.

What about the anti-siphon on the tank allowing gas to drain back?
