we recently inherited a 1990 Ski Nautique from deceased father-in-law, so we can't ask him. This came with the boat. Looks like some kind of adjustable support to hold up a boat cover to shed water. Does anyone know what this is, or where it goes ?
cheers - john

Did it come with a cover? If so put it on and there should be a grommet somewhere down the middle, this is where the pull should go and it is exactly what you thought it was for.
Have fun? Feel free to ask away!!!!

After careful inspection, and an eye for detail, I will have to go with Hollywood on this one and say "Looks like some kind of adjustable support to hold up a boat cover to shed water."
Hope that helps...

The technical term is stanchion. Used to tent a boat cover behind the engine cover to prevent the pooling of water...I'll give ya a dollar for it.

Well after considering all of that highly technical and knowledgeable input this site is so well known for, I think it is finally safe to conclude that the pole is in fact some kind of adjustable support to hold up a boat cover to shed water.
