My dad got this 88 as a consignment purchase from Bill's Marina, Deep Creek, MD in 1992 with 24 hours.
I had just learned to waterski behind a 40 hp outboard on wooden Cyprus Garden skis when he went to the marina for a 10-cent replacement clip that broke our old MFG boat. He came back with the Nautique.
He's gone now, so I own her and lovingly start, polish, ski, winterize and store (repeat) every year.
Much great advice from this site for upgrades and maintenance. She still purrs like a kitten and pulls like a tiger.
