Ever since I was a little guy, I've known about Correct Craft boats. My parents, who were both missionary kids from different parts of the world, were sent to a boarding school in Florida where they met the Meloon family. My folks told me about them and how they conducted their business in a way that honored God and, as a result, their company prospered. Their ski boats were the best in the world.

As soon as we could afford one, we out to find a great all-around Correct Craft ski boat that was also family-friendly. After quite a search, we located one relatively close by in South Carolina.

The color combination was nothing we had ever seen before and it took us a few minutes to decide if we liked it. It's definitely unique, and stands out from any other Nautique we've seen. It has "character", and we like it!

This 1992 Sport Nautique was owned by several guys who were hard-core wakeboarders. After purchasing the boat, the first step was to remove all the free-weights that were stashed in every nook and cranny in this boat...under the seats, in the ski locker, etc. Now when we brought the boat to a stop, water wouldn't cascade over the rear swim platform and seat!

We have really enjoyed this boat, and the Pro Boss PCM engine with the Pro-Tec system was a great running machine...lots of power, smooth and very reliable. Eventually, the Pro-Tec gave out and we replaced it with a conventional ignition system, which was available at Discount Inboard Marine(DIM). Whenever we need parts, we always go to DIM: Vince and Karen Dougherty are great friends and the best in the business! (http://www.skidim.com).

After buying our Sport, a friend of mine went skiing with me and fell in love with the boat. He was in the market for a good boat and decided he wanted one just like ours. After another extensive search, we found one right here in Atlanta. In no time, Neil became the proud owner of a red and black 1989 Sport which he keeps on Lake Martin in AL. A couple years later, friends from California came out for a visit and they too loved our boat. They went home and found a 1991 much like ours (Teal but with a Grey accent color). Soon they were Correct Craft owners. The 1989-1992 Sports are great boats with true walk-through, sit down bows.

Several years ago, we had the interior redone. Jeff Embrey from Embrey's Customotive in Tyrone, GA (http://www.embreys.net). Jeff Embrey is a great guy and did an amazing job! Jeff is an artist with paint and customization...everything from airplanes, boats, cars, golf carts and even the Atlanta Falcons helmet-cart used in the stadium. Jeff's guys really outdid themselves on the interior...all the way down to the embroidery-and it was VERY affordable. Give him a call re: your boat. (Check out the website if you like to look at custom work...beautiful stuff). We think the interior is the best re-upholstery job we've ever seen. We're very happy with it.

In early 2009 I had the New Dimensions Wakeboard Tower built and installed. Wayne is a terrific guy and used my boat as the "pattern boat" for the '89-'92 Sports. The tower turned out great-strong, no rattles, and looks perfectly OEM. I couldn't be happier! New Dimensions builds the best towers available. Before you think about buying a “universal tower”, give them a call. (http://www.newdimensiontowers.com)

This boat spends it's time on Lake Wedowee in Wedowee, AL, which is just south of Anniston. We look forward to many more years of fun with our Correct Craft...which still looks showroom new! We're proud to be part of the Correct Craft family.
