Well, CCFan buddies have done it again and helped make this beautiful Sea Blue 2001 Ski Nautique part of our family. Thanks to Zach for posting the link and the three stooges (Reid, Tim and Joe) for persuading me to take the short drive over to Omaha and put money in the PO's hand. We've always wanted a colored hull and it seems like blue boats have a way of finding us. This one fits the bill just right with the Sea Blue hull & deck.

Pat and Barbara Oneill were the original owners and purchased the boat from Sail N Ski in Texas. As we drove home I found all kinds of cool memorabilia from the original purchase and the NOA event they attended. We purchased the boat from a former Correct Craft dealer in Omaha who hardly used the boat, only 119 hours on the original digital gauges.

It's in remarkable shape and with only 119 hours it's basically a brand new boat! The gel looks great with only one blemish by the bow light and a few light scratches. Interior is just as impressive and will look brand new with some more cleaning. Under the engine cover looks just as it would have in 2001.

As the boat sat in our heated warehouse the Iowa winter showed no signs of allowing an early boating season so Zoe, PicturePat and I packed up and headed to the SJRR. There's no better way to test out a new purchase than pulling it 3,000 miles and spending the better part of a week on the river with CCFans. As always, we had a great time and the boat performed just as it should.

This boat immediately holds a special place in my heart and for good reason. While at the SJRR I asked the most amazing woman in the world to spend the rest of her life with me, and she said yes! Zo and I got up early to get gas for the run to Hontoon Island and I surprised her by getting down on one knee as she got out of the drivers seat! We met seven years ago on our '88 2001 so I found it very fitting to ask her to marry me on a Correct Craft. It was a very special experience to be able to share two new beginnings with a bunch of great CCF buddies!

I'm sure this boat will be in the CCF family a long time!
