I had this 1988 Ski Nautique passed down to me by my dad recently. He purchased the boat new at the end of the season in 1987. He'd owned a few Correct Crafts over the years (late 60s Mustang, '72 Martinique and '76 Martinique) and I have great memories growing up at the ski club every summer.
He always liked to customize the graphics on his boats (he customized his cars as well). He ordered the '88 Nautique in solid white gel coat so he could have the hull painted with his own design. It definitely looked WHITE when we picked it up from Midwest Correct Craft (one of the employees said it was the ugliest Ski Nautique he'd ever seen).
We taped it off and had a body shop paint it over the winter. He also applied the Correct Craft accent stickers on the deck, then cut out a small piece between the two colors so they would be a better tie-in with his graphics. Other than that, the boat is all original stock. He's taken great care of it over the years, with only a few minor blemishes to the gel, vinyl and carpet. It's been a great boat, and I look forward to getting my own kids out on the water in it as much as possible.
