This is a NON Restored 1979 Ski Nautique. All of the lettering on the boat is factory and has not been touched up. All of the interior is also original, there is a couple of small repairs to the interior at a couple of seams.
The motor is a 350 Chevrolet and is also original to the boat. Motor runs very strong and does not burn any oil or leak any water. It is a freshly serviced boat and is lake/river ready. Boat has a factory prop. Floor is very solid with no weak spots found. The interior is the Deluxe with side padding and ski racks on the bottom. All the teak including the platform is in good shape with no cracks in it. Windshield is also good with no cracks (missing 1 bottom window nut). Ski pylon has some scratches from a Skylon that was used in the boat before I got it. The hull is intact with only some small stress cracks at the front where the trailer guides are but this is typical from all of the old ones I have seen. Stringers are solid as a rock as it has been garaged all of its life.
The only non factory item on the boat is a tether that you strap around your wrist in case of ejection (cheaper insurance) and the factory Airguide speedos were installed for accuracy as this boat was used for the local 3 event tournaments in 1979 and 1980 (verified thru original owner).
Every time we take it to the landing to put it in the boat is always the topic it seems. Most who see it cannot believe it has not been restored.
This boat now resides in the Alan Jackson Collection.
