Im thinking of using this to make a Bar, Any Ideas on what I should do for the base, and how tall should I make it, most guys are cutting up old junk boats, but I thought this might be cool and maybe less work, Its big, almost 6ft wide by 2ft deep and its heavy!

Well as far as I'm concerned...a bar is the best use of that thing. Never did like the looks of those platforms.

Maybe for the base, you could fab something up like the trailer guides and throw a pair of the guide pads on there. Then there would be no doubt where it came from.

Hey Boy's,

That's the same platform I have on my boat!
Admittedly I was not the biggest fan of that style initially however no maintenance is very nice and it really goes better with the newer style boats which have no wood anywhere else, downside is as ski's rub across the gel they do show wear which can be rubbed/sanded out. Also have a Teak one, maybe one day I can post some pic's as a comparison.

Mark, I would find someone who wants to trade for their Teak and make the bar out of that.

I kinda like Adams idea. Are the black parts of the platform spongy foam or antiskid? If it's foam then you'd have the ideal surface for playing "Quarters!"
