I am looking for either the top piece of the ski pylon or the entire ski pylon itself. I just recently purchased an 89' Ski Nautique 2001 where the previous owner had misplaced the top part of the pylon. Please contact me if you have one or can advise me where to get one. Thanks in advance ---- Stimie

Are you sure it's an '89? An '89 should have a 1 piece pylon with a rounded ball looking top, not one of those removable ring/fingers.

Yeah it's definitely an 89'. There is another pole that slides over top of that with an attached grommet for securing a tow rope. The top of which is open kind of like the end of a pipe. I thought that a 3rd piece went into that open top and it had the removable ring on it.

You sound like youre describing an aftermarket extended pylon, not the factory pylon. You better post a picture to avoid further confusion.

The "third" piece is probably the other half of your extended pylon with a cable, ratchet and strap to secure it around the nose of the boat.

So do you think that the "2nd" and "3rd" pieces are from an aftermarket extension or do you think that they came as optional OE equipment when the boat was new?

I agree. This sounds like the bottom piece of a two piece extended pylon. They're aftermarket. Extended pylons weren't even a figment of someones imagination '89.
When people run down to the lake to see what's making that noise, you've succeeded.
