For those who read the thread "wringing out the sponge" I was debating on whether to remove the wet foam from my Mustang and hold off redoing the stringers and floor until this winter.
Well, I decided to take it out. And who knows, if we come into some extra dough in the next month, perhaps I'll go ahead with the stringer job before the summer. Anyway, I dug into her today for about an hour. Got one section removed and man, some nasty stuff in there. Decided it was time to put the respirator on, just in case. Kind of like an underground river. Cleaned her up a bit. Anyway to get the black spots out? About 65lbs so far. Don't know how much the foam should weigh dry though. More to come next weekend I'm sure. |

That looks entirely too familiar. That part gets easier. Get out the flat bar and get that crap out there! I am guessing I took 400lbs out of mine in November. Is your glass still tight on your stringers? Or can you push down and move it? A lot of mine was delaminated. I would say 60% or a bit more.

The glass is tight so far. Hopefully it will keep them stable for the summer.
