Electrical for Nav Light (Bow)

   To start this off - when I got my boat both nav lights were busted/missing.  I replaced the bow light assembly but am having trouble getting it to work.  The breaker for the nav lights currently is a 10amp (can someone confirm that is correct?).  I tested resistance and made sure that the wires to the bow light don't have a short and they were fine.  When I turn them on the led lights up, the bow lights don't turn on and then after 5 seconds or so the breaker pops.  

Any ideas on what to check next or fix?

My boat is an '89 ski nautique.

	Luke, Check the total resistance to both the aft and bow light from the breaker load side. Disconnect the hot wire there. Then using Ohms Law, divide volts by the resistance reading you get and you'll have the amp load for the nav lights. Maybe it's not the bow light but a problem with the stern light?

	or you have the leads reversed on the new light causing the issue,
