IIRC, you were running the original 13x16 OJ Legend? If you dont run any extra weight in the boat and simply want a good all around prop, not too different from the factory size, then Id go with either an Acme 422 or OJ XMP 428... but Id give the nod to the Acme, personally.

how badly damaged is the prop?? you may be able to just have it repaired.
for a new prop, if you run a lot of weight (say > 1200lbs), consider the Acme 1792. |

As far as I can tell, I'm not quite sure...

2 issues with that prop. 1) It has 1.25" less pitch than the stock replacement sizes, which is pretty extreme to reprop that far down. He'd have to be running a lot of weight, and be doing so pretty much exclusively to consider it- and I do not believe that is the case. He'd be trading a good amount of top end to use it. 2) It is quite a bit larger in diameter, which I suspect is going to be problematic on the TSC1 hull. This hull requires the smaller 12.5-13" diameter prop for sufficient clearance. |

it's bad enough to need rebuilding (handle put in a couple dings, not too bad) I'm buying a new and having this one rebuilt as a spare. I do on occasion run a fat sac so the kids can surf, but thi is primarily a slalom & trick boat. Close to stock is fine but I knew some of you(like Tim) experiment with props so I asked. Rebuilding takes at least a week turnaround, new is next day. Kids ski everyday. The Acme 422 sounds like the one. Thanks

Tim, "consider the Acme 1792" means check and see if it would work for your boat as it has worked well for me...just as HE shold make SURE the 422 or whatever would be best for him rather than take someone's word for it... |

Youre right Nick, no need to take anyone's word for it! Kevin, here is Acme's list of ski boat props. You should call up Delta or Acme and have them send you every RH prop with a 1" bore (all 28 of them) so you can demo them. While youre at it, have OJ send you theirs as well. Acme Ski Boat props (FWIW, I dont currently run the 422 or 428 on any of our boats.) |

I didn't mean to start a diva event. I do trust Tims opinion, but to satisfy curiosity I contacted Acme and O J. Neither will just ship to pick. Since you both seem to agree on Acme I decided to buy all 28 and will keep the 2 that work best. All the rest will go up for sale. I hope my results will help others.
....just kidding |

I think tim was just kidding. I have called 2 of the three prop companies ( I forget who is who) they both wanted boat specs and use and like tim and reid and Joe and a few others on here they all seem to land in the same specs . trust them .
