Well, our politicians finally did it. We have a government!
One and half year of negotiations finally resulted in a new government. A new world record!

And the future isn't looking too bright... Budget cuts and more taxes.
Having a car and/or a boat is gonna get quite more expensive for one.
Tax deductions for insulating your home or installing solar panels are abolished for example...

Today we heard on the radio that the banks are gonna lower the intrest rates on savings accounts and will raise the price of bank transactions in order to make more profit... F*cking bunch of criminals is what they are.
Last year the banks were saved by the tax payers money, by means of government support, and now the working class will have to pay again...

And what p*sses me off also, is when I see what the salaries and benefits are for the politicians in our government and especially in the Euro government... Not to mention the salaries of the big bankers.

Again, bunch of f*cking criminals...

Sorry but had to get that of my chest

Good news Kristof and agree on all the other points..... shame modern politics is all about getting re elected and not whats best for the country for the past 20 years around the world criminals sums them up well....

I'm sure the Euro meeting on Friday will only be words and kick it well into next year.... funny the French and Germans are up for re elections next year too, don't see it being fixed until there back in power until then they will hold the world up

At least you got a year and a half off your government doing damage. If we could have kept Obama out of action for his first year and a half we would have close to two trillion less in national debt.

The great news is that the Government has been formed just in time for the European Parliament to start forcing through the way that your country should be run, at least while you are still in the Euro currency that is.

Its time to tighten our belts and hold on for the long haul, its going to be a very rough ride over the next couple of years :( hang in there and do whatever you can to keep fuel in the boat a roof over your head and food on the table.
I'm self employed so know that things are going to get tough :(

My wife runs her own business and we do realise it's gonna get tough for the years to come.
I also have a few buddies that have their own businesses.
All have one or more compagny cars (for themselves or their employees). On the Belgian BMW forum, there's a whole discussion about what these compangy cars are gonna cost in the future. There are quite a few forum members that are thinking about selling their nice M-BMW's. Glad my wife has a small van with a little diesel engine... The cost surplus is still doable.
But the problem is, not only these lease cars are gonna cost more, all vehicles, big or small, categorized as trucks will also be taxed more.

You can imagine what's gonna happen... All these extra costs will be taken into account at the end of the line... So who's gonna pay the bill?? Yes, the consumer...

It's moments like these that I'm glad to be in the army. It's a job that has its risks, yes, but it's also a steady job and steady pay...
Only, my salary won't raise as fast...

On the lighter note, I just pictured Fidel Castro in my mind, shouting: "Viva la revolution!!"

Kris, I don't know whether to give you a high five or tell you to tuck your tail. It's sad to see you guys spinning around a re-election date...we've been there and can't seem to leave. Millions get a raw deal while we wait for a few to get their new contract. Seems bacerds...
