I want to remove the ski pylon from my 74 skier so i can replace the carpet and do some engine work. i have removed the bolts from the base but it does not budge. is there something else i need to do before i go to the bigger hammer theory. thanks

I know this has come up before. There might be something else holding it but I can't remember the details. I'd hold off on the Big Hammer until someone can weigh in, or I can find the old thread.

I just removed one from our 74 Skier yesterday and it was held in by a bolt at the very bottom, and a flange under the floor that had 2 set screws. I had to snap the bolt at the bottom off and drive it out. The set screws came out of the flange easy. It lifted right out.
