do a search here on swim platforms, there is plenty info.
the shaft, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Do you feel you have excessive vibration? eliminated the prop as a cause yet? then check the shaft...

This is a link for some commonly asked questions on the forum.   I am pretty sure that teak maintenance is on here, as is the alignment video.   By Are you typing on your mobile phone?    I am able to guess what this post was all about, but some of your other posts have been much less understandable.... Any chance you could type out what you are asking?   I am not from the texting generation, so spelling it all out really helps me to deterimine the real questions you are asking.

Here is a better link to teak maintenance...   TRBenj - the link in your post takes me to a post by East TX on MCTT, but it doesn't appear that there is a teak post affiliated.   for research sake, it wouldl be great if you could repost?   I'll be doing my platform this winter as well.

Shaft alignemnt should be checked once per year, in my opinion. Good thing to do at the start of the season. It is cheap insurance.

Misalignment will not cause vibration... it will actually dampen it slightly due to the greater side load of the shaft in the strut. The manual calls for you to check it every year... but thats probably excessive if you have no reason to suspect it has changed. If the prop still spins smoothly by hand (pinky finger light) then I wouldnt sweat it. Of course, if the boat is new to you, then its a smart idea to align it, regardless of when the previous owner claimed it was last done.

Just my $0.02, Having snapped a driveshaft at high speed before, I would definitely advocate that you at least inspect it and see how difficult it is to spin the prop as said above. Having a shaft break loose is a scary experience and can damage your hull, prop, rudder, etc. It would be worth the effort to get it aligned and save yourself the potential problems later. I learned the hard way.

That's normal. Every 2001 hull I've been in, including my old '83 used to make that sound when turning. They usually only do it one way though, I can't remember which. My BFN doesn't seem to do it but that is a totally different hull bottom.
