Anybody that has a 91 SN I am trying to fix my steering wheel issue. If you could take a picture of your steering wheel and dash that would be helpful. I am not sure I have an original wheel and the part between the wheel and dash dont line up. Trying to correct the issue so a picture would help and hopefully someone has some spare parts.
I need a steering wheel that is keyed and the part that goes between the wheel and dash.

I got a steering wheel of Kevin but its splined from a 93 if anybody needs one. I will post it up in parts for sale shortly.

93 was the first year for a splined hub. That is when the switched happened to rack and pinion style helms. I believe some 92's sneaked out with the new steering style. Prior everything was a keyed hub and a rotoray style helm.

No pictures of early boats sorry.

Craig:
There are some very nice replacement steering wheels out there..... it depends on your boat and your taste what to replace it with. If you do buy another steering wheel, most of the time they will be supplied with the hub and center cap as well. If you just need a hub, make sure you get a keyed, tapered hub whose bolt pattern matches your current wheel .... Like the one shown here:

Steering Wheel Hub - Keyed tapered Teleflex

Or you can get an entire new wheel, hub and center cap like this:
Schmitt Steering Wheel New

Hope that gives you a place to start...... Steve

I had great plans for the weekend - Pull the boat out, change the oil, start on the new gauges, install the new steering wheel, new plugs and get her ready to float. Well I didn't even touch it cause the garage door broke and I didn't want to deal with it.
I did have a relaxing weekend but got little done. Maybe next weekend. :)

Hello,

A little late to the party, but I have a 1991 SN that I could take some pictures of for you if you are still in need. Everything appears to be original except for the Tach which I just replaced. Let me know if your interested.
Cheers.

Thanks but I got a new steering wheel - I just need to find the time to get the boat ready. I have a handful of things that need to be done.
