Anything I need to look out for when buying a new blower?
As I understand the higher the flow rate and the quieter the better but are there any particular make/models I should avoid? I guess Rule are a pretty good manufacturer of this kinda thing..
Thanks

Graham,
Besides flow in CFM, look at the specs on these flows at the given static presser (or suction). If you have lots of flex tubing, it really hurts the performance due to it being so restrictive. (air doesn't like to go past all those corrugations)

Thanks Pete, will do. Tbh I'm not sure exactly where to locate the blower, behind the fuel tank?
That's where the previous one was fixed, but with no flex pipe at all so it wouldn't have been much use!!!
I've since bought some 3" id tube, enough to cover the blower and also replace the 3 sections up front running from the scoop that have perished.

Drop a short piece of flex lower into the bilge. Gas vapors are heavier than air. It wasn't until later that they started ducting forward into the engine compartment. I still lift the dog house and take a good smell for fumes!

Thanks, so just run a short section from behind the tank down to the rudder port?
Would there be any added benefit if I was to extend it to the engine compartment? If not I shouldn't have got so much house in it's the heavy duty reinforced stuff not the cheap plastic!!
