Here is a well done video that for me captures that feeling of being out on the lake having a time to remember. I know, it's not a CC but I still look at the Donzi Sweet 16s even though I was denied one by my family. Maybe someone here has made a movie like this with a CC.

Sweet 16 is without a doubt my favorite boat, what a beauty that one is. Great video...although people always feel compelled to overplay these videos with music, when all we really wanna hear is the engine!

For the most part I agree with the engine sound thing, however this is a mood ride to me. The kind of evening ride when you put on some head phones / ear buds and appreciate all of your senses and the beauty around you. There is boarding time when you turn up the tunes and rip it, and the afternoon of skiing / hot rodding when you unleash the engine, but there is that time when everything is in tune, usually around evening, when your surroundings, classic boat, music, solitude and a reverent hand on the throttle make everything perfect. This one clicks with me. BTW I don't think your first sentence is permitted on here. |

How about this one?
Or this one? |

- Gun control means: using BOTH hands!
- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle... |

I've been drooling over "classic" Donzis longer than Correct Crafts, I have to admit. I just hope I can afford one before its too late.
John, if you ever get one let me know. I'll help you make a video for it :) |

I hope you are well out in the plains Jamin. I have posted this before The Donzi Sweet 16 Classic was my first choice. I had one picked out from the Donzi Registry for sale forum. It appeared immaculate and had a SBC and a Mercruiser. I found posts by others attesting to it's condition on the Donzi registry as well. I believe it was in SC. I talked to the owner and was ready to buy it. My wife was "on board" for a different classic boat with and inboard or I/O too. I showed it to my wife and daughters. Thats when the wheels fell off. Short story, I was over ruled, no Donzi for our family EVER. The Mustang was my second choice and right now I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I really love the boat and this site has been an indispensable resource of knowledge. Everyone here has been so helpful just for the asking. There is so much to do before May to get the Mustang on the water like I want it and I am so slow these days. It would have much preferred to buy one already properly restored but I couldn't find the right one. When my wife heard the Mustang first run in the driveway she just shook her head. She knew I had gotten my way to some degree and bought another performance conveyance. Last year a guy I talk to now and then on the chain bought this, and he wasn't even looking for a boat at the time. I still love the Sweet 16s, but the Mustang was probably a better choice. |

Florida is still warm for you guys. There is a bit of a chill in the area for me though. 63 degrees, is cold.
Come on down. I just had the boat out yesterday. And I wore shorts. I love it! My wife looks better tan. |

Gotta run the old girl up to speed every now and then!
(Sorry, I'll have to remember to close the windshield next time) Someone may have to correct my feeble attachment skills..... http://s1267.photobucket.com/user/74Wind/media/Swindvideorun5-12-12.mp4.html?sort=3&o=0 |

Just floating around the net. waiting for boating season and found your site talking Donzi. Hope you don't mind sneaking in on your site, but here's some 16 Classic engine noise...turn up the volume! Hope I loaded the link right. http://youtu.be/0FWlpbQBrJ4 |

I can't speak for the site since I am only a guest there too, but I pretty much love all quality classic boats and some of questionable quality as well. Donzis are one of the great classics. Thanks for the link! |

John: whats the Donzi site address?
If you like classics of all brands you might like this short video of my 1975 Century Mark II (16' 7",Chrysler 360 v-drive). Original owner (my dad bought it new). We'd put on that taller clear windshield as it worked much better barhopping on cold NY nights. No need for that here in GA, so have since re-installed the original windshield which is 4-5 inches shorter and tinted, so looks much sharper, will have to get some new photos someday. Also some other good misc. boat shots in the photobucket. <embed width="600" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullscreen="true" allowNetworking="all" wmode="transparent" src="http://static.photobucket.com/player.swf" flashvars="file=http%3A%2F%2Fvid1267.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fjj549%2F74Wind%2FMOV01164-1.mp4"> |

Hmmm...now I can't get 'em to attach anymore. Just click on the Southwind video above, then "view library" at top of Photobucket for the MK II video and some other cool stuff.
