Another Carb question

   I recently rebuilt my 4150 carb works great until I shut the boat off. I noticed fuel flowing out of one of the main jets. My question is what might be the culprit.

	+1 stuck primary float (you mean one of the front "barrels" looking down at it ???)

	Stuck float is possible but it's more likely to be a bad needle/seat following a carb rebuild. Pretty common in new Holleys these days (both new carbs and rebuild kits). Hope you kept the old one!

	Don't rule out the float being set too high. That's happened more than once here after a rebuild. Especially if you have a 1:1 tranny and no angled carb adapter.

	Clean or replace needle and seat, reset float level... May just need to set a hair lower. Could also be heat soak, it will expand or boil the fuel and cause some dripping and ensuing flooded hard start condition. I used a thin (1/2" IIRC) phenolic spacer on mine to help isolate the carb from heat soak. Also, extreme carb angle will cause flooding out the front bowls unless float level is set lower than normal. Angled spacer will help and many direct drives had these from the factory, sometimes discarded over the years.
