Well I finally got my 67 Starflite in the water and was pleasantly surprised with no major issues. The only gauge that is working as of now is the oil pressure. I am working on on speedometer since the pilot was knocked off somewhere on our test run. It was bad anyway. So to my question
This system has the pilot, pulsation dampened, then more tubing that goes through the hull. From there what is needed between hull and gauge? I thought tubing had to run all the way to the front but not sure if it is supposed to hook direct to the gauge or to something before? As always your knowledge is much appreciated. Thanks, Brian |

Brian I think that was added later. My 69 Mustang has the "fin" type pickup mounted approximately half way between the transmission and packing gland. Copper then runs to the front, the dampener is mounted behind the foot panel on the stringer and then rubber tubing to the gauge. In your case it does not matter, use rubber tubing or if feeling ambitious run copper
