It may be the correct one but many have found improvement with the 4 blade acme.
I run a 224, I think many more prefer the 422. In my case the 4 blade Acme is quieter, smoother, faster and has more torque pulling load. I don't know an objection other than the $450 to buy one.

PS: I should note this is with the 310 HP 351 Pro Boss and it will RPM over 5,000 with this combo.

OJ 14 X 16 3-blade was the standard prop back in the day. The new CNC props will be a noticeable improvement. I'm at high altitude (4,000+ feet) with the High Output 351W. I run an Acme 654 4-Blade 12.5 x 15 RH 1" Bore .105 Cup. At sea level, I run an Acme 422 4-Blade 12.5 x 15.5 RH 1" Bore .105 Cup

Which engine do you have? If it is a "PLD" engine (260 H.P.) then you may want to consider the Acme 654.

Do some searches in General Discussion and you will find many threads on props.

I don't think so... Better check your gauges.

WOW!
Bret, is that what you are getting on the tach? If so, as mentioned, somethings wrong. Get a shop tach hooked up and find out.

The only 3600max engines I know of are old flat head 4's, 6's and 8's.

Per PCM Owners Manual:

4,400 RPMs as a max intermittent cruise
3,600 RPMs as continuous cruise

In a properly set-up boat, you should be able to turn maximum RPMs with your propeller. If not, something is wrong, such as propeller diameter/pitch or engine problems. I'd double check the tachometer first. Take a GPS unit and see what the wide open throttle speed is per the GPS unit.
