Dear all, I have notice thta no water flow correctly from water pump on my correct craft 2001,
I could see some small amout of waater atvthe water pump input but does not go further.

In order to try to initiate it, I remove the tuve from the pump and pump some water directly inside the pump in case it is too dry, but no luck.

Is there a better way to initiate the water pump befor I try to desasembling all?

Regards
Serge

Are you talking about the engine driven water pump? That circulates water through the engine to cool it? Picture?

Sounds like a bad impeller. It is supposed to be self priming.

Check all hose connections to make sure they are tight. If nothing bad there, then i would inspect the impeller. That is only a 30 minute job, so nothing to lose there.

I finnaly buy a new impeller kit for my water pump.
But then even after ths Ivhave a strange issue.

When I star the motor i can see the water rising up in the tube but then after a while the motor temerature rise up. It seem that at idle speed the ampunt of waterwhich troval is not enough.

If i put some gaz in neutral more water are coming because motor run faster rpm and then temperature drop down to 160F.. Then back to idle without gaz and temperature eaise up again

What could it be ? Bad idle speed?

Thanks for help

Serge,
Sounds like you are sucking air on the suction side of the pump. Check all your hose connections.

I finnaly discover a small hole on one water hose at location you tight it. I bougth a new hose and all is working ok now. Water debit from pump is perfect at idel and high speed and motor temp remains around 150F.

Thanks for all your help
