Okay I know it has been forever!! I was transferred in February by the Mayo Clinic from Jacksonville, FL to Rochester, MN. My body is totally freaked out by the MN "warm" water!! It has been quite a move and a bit of a delay due to both weather and work orientation.

For those who do not remember!

I have worked quite a bit. I completely restored the trailer! It was a lot easier blasting here than in Florida!! I added Red pinstripes due to the little man's request.

I finally have completed the "pretty work on the exterior. I had to repair a large section of the transom from where it had ripped the lift ring out during a hurricane! We found the original gel coat was grey. I was able to color match from the bottom and just got the last coat of gel on. It is not perfect. but I have all winter to wet-sand it out!! I still have to shoot the black for the dash but it is prepped and needs only to be masked off. We made a temporary paint booth in the garage with plastic sheeting. I sprayed with that little 15 y/o 8 gallon HF compressor!!! I had to use three filters to make sure it did not spray oil!! The compressor finally died this afternoon. pressure regulator is shot! I guess that was a worthwhile $75!!

I decided not to use foam and instead put 3/4" ply down. The interior is completely glassed. It took four (4) gallons of epoxy resin for just the floor! I went with Bilgekote for the bilge area. It is all masked so no photos for now!

I have a question on the lettering. I found a local vinyl shop who used the drawings in the reference section. He is waiting for me to finish the gelcoat so he can measure for a stencil. He still has not quoted a price!! I am considering painting the striping an letters back on. I am very nervous about it though! Should I use the oil-based Rustoleum enamel or a different product?

I miss you chatting with you guys. Hopefully we will meet some of you up here in the Midwest.

Rex
