Just purchased this 96 Nautique with a PCM 5.7 350 HO. How many different variations of the 5.7 were an option that year. Just not sure when ordering parts online. They mention PCM pro tec and so on.

Do you have pictures of the motor? You're pretty sure this is Chevy? That would have been rare, but possible.

That's what the previous owner told me but it would't surprise me if it wasn't. Just about everything he told me about the boat so far has been wrong. I will try to post some pics. Thanks

I was out with CCF member "escmanaze" today on his 1997 SNOB. It has a Chev 5.7 throttle-body engine. It was a PCM "Pro Ski" engine. Nice engine. It felt very similar to my '94 with H.O. 351 Ford.

Interesting.

Yeah, that looks like a Chevy by the valve covers and distributor location.

Definitely a rare engine.

I'm looking at my printed Skidim parts catalog. They sell a manual that is for "5.7 MEFI TBI." My printed catalog says it was for 94-96, but the web link doesn't specify exact years:
http://www.skidim.com/mobile/GM-MEFI-MANUAL-TBI/productinfo/L190180/

For parts buying purposes, I'd say it's basically a non Excalibur Chevy 5.7.

You'd probably want to talk to someone like Vince at Skidim before buying any expensive parts for it, to make sure you're buying the right thing.

I'm sure they could, have you wrote the factory to look up the build record of the boat?? Did you call PCM and give them the serial number of the engine?? That's where I'd start----

Or you could use your favorite search engine and type the engines numbers in it and see what you get.

Yes I guess that is next. So far nothing about this boat has been normal. What makes it worse is I'm the type that wants everything to be as close to factory as possible. So it's going to be a challenge. Thanks again I'll keep you posted.
