I am going to look at an 85 2001 and I am going to take along a compression tester. I know that I want all eight cylynders to be close to the same number but does anyone know what kind of number I should pull on a healthy stock engine. I was thinking around 90 does that sound right?

I believe it's more close to 130. 90 sounds low. I'm sure somebody else will reply with the accurate #. Type in the word compression in the search bar and look at previous posts. Let us know how you make out with the '85.
