2011 PCM EXC 343.

Replaced my water pump impeller today and having trouble getting the belt back on. Specifically, I'm having trouble understanding how the belt tensioner works on this motor. Doesn't help that I have to look thru a mirror to see it.

To loosen the belt, I removed the belt tensioner pulley. Unable to figure out how to get enough play in that tensioner mechanism to get the pulley and belt back on. The manual hasn't helped much with this.

Can anyone explain how this tensioner works? There's got to be some sort of adjustment that gives you slack with the belt and then allows you to tension it after it's routed over all of the pulleys correctly.

There should be a little diagram adjacent to the tension-er showing the belt routing in case you didn't see it. I found putting the belt around the largest pulley last is easiest.
Changing the impeller on my Excal DD with tools in hand takes 2 minutes max :)

yea I don't suppose it would take you more than 2 minutes to get the job done with tools in hand from your tool box-----
