Merry Christmas!

THE FOUR STAGES OF LIFE:
1) You believe in Santa Claus.
2) You don't believe in Santa Claus.
3) You are Santa Claus.
4) You look like Santa Claus.

Not up here just yet but, we have had a few of these when they don't stay on the marked lake trails!

That looked like an expensive hobby!

Chris,
To my knowledge, they don't have any formal competitions up here in the area. Lots of problems with the DNR with potential water pollution and then there's the liability factor. We still hold the Polar Bear Plunge which is always draws a big crowd and is a great charity. I know there will be plenty of ice this year. -21 degrees at 5:00 am this morning and they are predicting the same tonight. Currently -18 and the expected high today is only -6. The wood is going in the air tight at a pretty big pace!!! At least we shouldn't see any more machines go through the ice as long as they stay out of the channels. Of course, that's were some illegal skimming does take place!!

I've lived in both,I find it's better to cool your drink than to heat the house. There is always a down side- more gas usage and impeller changes. It does balance out in the end though it turns out hitting an alligator does less damage that plowing thru ice flows
