Good Evening. I have an ‘88 Ski Nautique 2001 with just about 200 hours. Boat has been sitting indoors for 9 years. I’d like to get it back in the water but know it needs carb work, tranny resealed and the hull buffed. Does anybody recommend a shop in the NW Ohio, SE Michigan, NE Indiana area that works on these older boats. I am finding that a Lot of places don’t want to touch the older stuff. Many Thanks. Dave

Dave,
Tranny or do you mean the prop shaft packing gland? What's leaking?

Great question. It’s leaking oil into the bilge and has been for a while. I was told years ago the case was leaking. Not a huge amount but I would degrease the bilge a couple times a season when I was using it. Had the oil changed every year which was probably overkill since it would only got about 3 hours a year on it. Thanks!
