Yanked out my transmission tonight and was really excited to find this.

I guess it's possible my transmission is also toast, but it's probably not likely toast.

Right? Right? Someone agree with me. I really don't want to rebuild it, it was heavy as crap just getting it onto the bench.

Troy,
Get a new damper plate. They are inexpensive and always a suggested replacement when a trans is pulled.

OK,I'll agree with ya ..................    Right, Right

And that really is pretty exciting too Wink

For your B/W if you look at the first link below, you'll find a replacement damper plate that's precut to fit for a hundred bucks.

If you look at the second link, you'll find the same plate for 20 bucks less and you get the enjoyment of trimming it yourself.

You'll see that they say either one mounts with one bolt per ear, so you'll have 3 bolts left over from your present plate

Lots of people here on CCF use these as replacement dampers for their B/W transmissions

Super awesome! One person agreeing is all I need. And since I have 3, I'm not cracking open the case.

Thanks for the links, I was having trouble figuring that out. I knew about the trimming, but was still confused. Thanks!

Just want to give a quick shout out to eBasic Power. The post office has shoved my damper plate in a closet somewhere in North Carolina and there hasn't been a tracking update in a week. I called eBasic and asked if that was normal. They said no, but the USPS was really backed up right now. This morning, without me asking, they left a message saying they were shipping a new one out and if the old one shows up, just send it back. Nice bit of news on a Friday afternoon.
