My first boat 24+ years ago was an Arriva 2001 with a 150hp outboard. I used two props. One I recall was a 16 pitch for water skiing good hole shot and a top speed of 38 and the other was a 21 pitch cupped prop for going fast and having fun.
Would that work for a 1993 SN if I was day boating with the wife or on the annual poker run to have an alternate prop I use for a bit more speed? Not a good idea or? |

Acme 442 would likely be the “stock” recommendation. Acme 668 may work for speed and no skier — 668 is very close to the 442 but with a bit more cup. But as Pete asked above, we need to know a bit more:
- Elevation (St. Paul is about 1,000 feet) - Engine particulars - Wide Open Throttle (WOT) spec for your engine That will help us dial things in a bit more… JQ |

 I remember learning this with a 1992 MC prostar. All I wanted was 2-3 mph more-----was told to forget the idea by many people. I really enjoyed that boat and it was the only non CC boat I ever owned but it had to go. 41 MPH was tops. Sold it and bought a 1996 Ski with a gt-40 and that took me to 45 mph consistently.

There's still a chance for improvement but that really depends on what prop is on the boat now. Do you know what it is?
