I attempted to go out to our Club's waterski course today.  Didn't make it.  Ice was 2" thick.  I got to within 50 yards of the ski dock.

You can see the dock in the upper right-hand corner of tho photo.

Marina.

JQ you are motivated!   Must be New Boat Itis.   Glad you are out having fun.   That would really hurt to hit an ice chunk while skiing.   Probably not good for your boat either.

Mark:

Skiing was not on the agenda.  My intent was to do some winter lay-up work on one of our Club's ski docks.  No ski paraphernalia on the boat -- only tools.  This was my first experience with ice that thick and I wasn't in the mood to risk damage to Miss Nautique.  The heater sure came in handy...

Absolutely. Nice to see another local, Roy. More of the north end will get more ice for sure, this coming week. Week after next looks like some moderate temps, so hoping to get out again.  We've been dropping in at Squantz, and using that cove. It's working great.
