the other day i was ripping my carpet out and noticed that in one spot the glass under it was cracking/seperatting but its just in that one spot. the floor is solid do i need to just sand it down to where its not cracking any more or replace that spot?

here is my two cents
if the glass is cracked you may have water in the foam. some where near the crack, far enough away from the edge so that your not on the stringer - drill a hole and determine if the foam is wet. if its just a little damp drill again only further out and see if its dry or damp. point is, if its not saturated and relatively isoloated i would simply glass over the cracks. but if its saturated then you will want to open it up and get the bad foam out. |
