Hi Guys. Sorry I've been away for so long. I ran the boat today and when I came back and hooked up the garden hose to the flush kit the plastic female end on the perko leaked all over the place. I messed with it a bunch, but it's leaking below the part that turns. I've only had this perko kit for about 3 years and I'm frustrated that it's already gone bad. I also noticed the new ones are quite a bit more than they were a few years ago. I think I paid about 30 bones for mine and the new ones at skidim are $58. Do you recommend I get a new one? If so, where do you have yours? Mine is on top of the muffler:
do you think it could be installed after the trans cooler, here: ??? |

David, Is there a rubber hose washer in the white female hose connection? Did you loose it? It works just like a garden hose. If the male doesn't bottom, then the swivel won't compress it's seal.

that's the first thing I checked and it's there Pete. It's leaking below the connection.

Dude, good to see your smiling mulletless face back on here. But, it's really not fair to be talking of getting your boat out when us north of the Mason Dixon line are still snow and ice bound.

David, If it isn't broken below the white swivel then it must be a gasket problem. I would try a new hose washer or even two. With the hose connected and the white swivel tightened on the hose, the swivel should also tighten to the body of the flush pro.
The installed location is fine. |
