Really nice when a plan comes together. I have the same rub rail on my Mustang 17. I plan to sand mine down and just keep it in shape with a scotch-brite. Initially a job but then routine maintenance won't be too bad. Where do you plan to order yours from??
Again, nice work. Duane |

Not much progress since Anna worked her magic on the exterior. The new script emblems are on and look great! If anyone is looking, our ccfan member StanC still has these available.
I ended up buying a set of Cypress Gardens decals off eBay for $12. They're very close to original and will do the job for now. Of course, I'd still love to have an original set remade but that project is on the back burner for now. Lastly, the Flag decals from Nautique Parts came in the mail today which really completes the package. FWIW, these are a closer match. Notice the more NASA inspired font in the link above. I didn't notice a difference in the U.S.A font until they arrived. Not going to stop us from going boating this weekend but will order a set for future replacement. I'm down to replacing the MA registration letters, rub rail and some other little items on the exterior. The winter months slipped away from me so it doesn't look like we'll have new front seats until 2018. In the mean time, we're looking forward to enjoying the heck outa this thing and continuing to work on the small details. |

CQ - below the boot stripe was heavily oxidized so took it down to 400. Everything above the boot stripe was 800. Deck actually came back nicely with the buffing wheel so it received minimal sanding.
Gary - I used the heck out of it on the Avocado Queen (green 72 skier). Dropped it one day and broke the air hose connection and haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. The promo was done by hand. It'll be fixed before sanding the Riviera for sure! |
