Pat, I do recall hearing that at one time too. I remember the guy was CC's clean up/garbage man who took out all the trash to the dumpster. Very fitting!

Haha, while that makes for a great story, I don't know if i can completely believe that he was the garbage man. haha though it does give us even more of a superiority complex than usual with our boats...

I don't know the story behind the Mastercraft name. I have read that the first MC boats were Ski Nautique hulls, cut and modified. I don't know if this is true or not. I've met Rob Shirley at some boat shows, but never asked the questions. BKH

My 21 foot boat made in 2001 has flotation foam, as does my neighbors built in 1998. The stories of "Ski Nautique" and "Correct Craft" can be found on the Correct Craft website. BKH

I was recently told this morning by a reliable source whose last name ryhmes with Balloon that 20 foot and under boats are the only boats required from the USCG to have foam in them... do the 21 footers have foam in them? the San Juan's? I dont know. i got the shakedown on how the name ski nautique came about and how the name Correct Craft came about if anyone is interested actually I forgot most of why.
