Cell phone service is pretty good. Of all the services I've had, Verizon has been the best in GL.. No onw should have a problem..

Steve,
I get in on Thursday afternoon. I should be in Green Lake just in time to head over to RainDog's. -Keith |

If I remember correctly, cell service was accually pretty good on the lake. Dave or Steve?
I use GMRS/FRS radios out on the water a lot and find them to be much easier to use then a cell phone - especially when talking one-to-many. I'm not saying they are necessary but if you have some, bring them along. Yes, you can get GMRS/FRS radios at Wal-Mart. This is really a separate discussion but if you were making the investment, I personally recommend the Midland GXT710VP3 or GXT800VP4(waterproof). -Keith |

Sounds like they must be of the GMS/FRS bands. Not all walkie-talkies have this band. You find some transmit out a lot farther than others. I just got a Motorola from Radio Shack. Price was around $70.00. You can find them for less; but, they have less distance. |

Is this just any kind of "walkie-talkies" from wal-mart, or wherever? Rob |

Listen to the man, people. Because of the wet weather we've had, the mosquitoes are pretty damn aggressive. |
