Your guys are right. I posted back in 4-6-08 (points) about my point, cap and rotor, I need to call skidim and get the correct, new parts. The boat has run so good compared to my old one that it feels like it's running sweet. It has no problem pulling skiers or getting out of the hole, once started it runs great. I love correct crafts and can't wait to be getting the all out of the 628 hr, 1984 2001!
Thanks again, Greg

Greg, Chris is correct IF the starting problem is ignition related. If it a ignition problem so will a tune up. What else have you checked and when was the last time a tune up was done?

I have a 1984 SN 2001 with a 351W, it has points ignition. I can get it started, but it takes some work. Is this normal, and if I switch to the electronic ignition would this help the issue? Thanks, Greg
