I'm not sure on the exact year of the change from RH to LH engines but I think it was in the late 80's to early 90's. It might have corresponded to the introduction of the PCM PowerPlus 1.23:1 transmission but I'm not sure on that either.
In short all Nautique engines have been LH rotation for quite sometime now. |

So the engines currently built for Ski Nautiques all run the same as automotive engines.
Thanks for the Information. Dallas |

From the perspective of sitting in the drivers seat your engine rotates to the left (counter clockwise, i.e. standard automotive direction). Your prop however rotates to the right. The gear reduction transmission reverses the direction of rotation.

Does my 2001 ski nautique (ProBoss GT40 5.8l) have a L or R Rotation engine. I understand that the 1 : 1.23 trans boats do not rotate L any more, is this right.
Thanks Dallas |
