Welcome seabee20.
I was also in the US Navy. 1975-1979. Served aboard the USS America CV66 Aircraft Carrier, ships company. FTM2 (Fire Control Technician Missiles) Terrier Missile Systems.. really old stuff. Vacuum Tubes, Oscilators, Syncros and Gyros. Seems so long ago now... |

Doc,
Know you where not rubbin. Thanks for the encouragement. This restoration is long with a limited budget etc... But am not giving up. My gel coat is toast so I,m sanding etc prep for awlgrip. The stringers are set and in place. My 302 just got the heads back. Now buying new carb, exhaust elbows, wiring, pumps etc.. basically complete restore. I visit this site everyday and learn and laugh. Maybe next year it will be ready. The weather here in Washington was terriable(sp) this summer. No garage/shop so its tarps and wait for sunny weather for me. |

seabee, not trying to rub at all, just "statin' tha facts ". I remember how bad it "Stung" when I bought the new windsheild for our '64.
Two months later TaylorMade announces no more winshields, all the extrusions have been used. They can still mold the plexiglass but not the frames...... Now that price does not sting nearly as bad. Some one on the site may have one stuck back or a parts boat will surface, just have FAITH...............Boat dr |
