Larry,
Does this look like your engine? Your options for manifolds are many. Have you looked at cast iron aftermarkets as well as aluminums? |

I have to replace my manifolds becouse the water jackets leak and there is a crack on the outside . I want to use whatever is best or compatable to my 350 chevy small block.

yes quit a few and they actually look like headers too, and they have real numbers to back up the perfromance increases unlike the wish full thinking of some brands, But then if your not dealing with High Horsepower high flow requirements your not going to build a good product to start with and I would much rather have a set of CMI's then Hi-Teks which don't even perform better than the log syle Edlebrocks then they might or might not fit under your motorbox, can you read process flaws, bad jigs/no jigs, inconsistant manufacturing. But they're not trying to make a 502 that is blown and running duel quads breath easy either like CMI and several other real brands do. |

Chris,
I do know the options are out there for aluminum aftermarket log style "headers" but is there someone else making a true header like the the Hi-Teks for the Chevys? Larry, I'd still like to know were you are expecting to go with this set up on a Southwind 20. They would be nice looking but I doubt you'd be gaining much. |

pete that would be the last source to use for a chevy motor, it's about the only source for the 351W, but for BBC and SBC there are so many better choices here in the states to use.

Larry,
Are these manifolds something you already have or going to buy? Who's manifolds are they? Do you expect gains in engine performance? Are you doing other engine mods? You may be better off going with the Hi-Tek stainless marine headers. |
