The weak link is the threaded 'ears' for the cover screws. These will break if over tightened.

I have the engine label. Waukesha, Clinton IOWA plant is says.

I think I like the heavy, thick brass housing. Looks like it will last forever (replacing the impeller and seal ring). It looks like new, 36 years down the road!

Yup, looks right to me. Which 302 marinization package used the Jabsco pump? Palmer?

I am replacing the impeller. It is clearly marked Jabsco 1210-0001 (found SKIDIM correct part).

I didn't realize it was so tight and the blades lay over so far.

Is this the correct fit? Thanks.
