New to the forum, but would really like to know how to buy one of these custom made shift knobs. Couldn't easily find them through google search.

Randy in Ohio really knows a lot about polishing his knob. Ask him!

White Lake has a lot of new ones, I saw them on display and asked where they got all of them. They got a lot of Midwest's old inventory. Call 910-862-3688, ask to speak to Carl or Diane. http://www.whitelake.com/

I'm still not over those yet! Problem is my wife already noticed that I refinished the one I have... If I get a new one, I'm not going to be able to say "no that's not new, it was always like that".

I think it's mahogany. I'm not much of a woodworker so I can't really recommend the best type of finish. I just used some clear gloss polyurethane that I had around the house. They are only 15 new, so keep that in mind.

If you really want to get fancy, check out the knobs hasbeenskier has. Here is the link to our recent discussion.
