Thanks for finding this, Kris. That matches the values I had listed in the post I linked to, which were based on the reference section "1985-86 Ski Nautique Dash Wiring Diagram": Nav Lights -- 10A (blank) -- Anchor Light? -- 10A Pump -- 2A Blower -- 6A Ignition -- 20A |

Thanks for the info.
Now that you mention it, I remember seeing a post on amperage for each gauge of wire. Gonna look for that. I was just hoping a fellow 78 owner would tell what he is using....I'm just lazy like that...lol Corey. |

Guys,
I was unable to find the fuse sizes, but, Nautique parts lists the breaker sizes that are used for each circuit on the 86+ boats. You might start one size smaller than these amperage ratings, or if you can find the wire size, you should be able to determine the fuse size as well. fuses are intended to protect the wire, so as long as you don't 'overdraw" the wire, you should be fine. from NP: Combination switch/circuit breaker - Slide on (spade) terminals. Used on dash of Correct Craft boats from 1986 to 1999. PLEASE NOTE: 1985 boats used a screw type terminal. To use these breakers on a 1985 boat only you need to convert the ends of your current wires to spade type connectors. These breakers come in various AMPS depending on what function they control. Please select the quantity of each AMP that you need. In most applications the amps and functions are as follows: 2.5 amp - used on bilge pump and auto bilge pump 6 amp - used on blower 8 amp - used Barefoot Nautique pump & auto pump 10 amp - used on navigation light, anchor light, and accessory 20 amp - used on ignition (main) |

Tom & Corey, I have the exact same question for a 1984 SN2001, and wasn't able to get the answer in this thread: 1984 SN2001 Dash Wiring -- Fuses (Corey, you had posted there, as well.)
I wonder if Correct Craft would have the fuse ratings for their older models. Anyone know who I should contact there? Steve |

I checked the search option, but cannot find the info on this one. Don't want to post a brand new thread on it...
Does anyone with an older SN know the proper fuse size for each switch on the dash? Thanks. Corey. |

On my 1978 Ski Nautique there are five fuses. I see that in the Reference area there is a wiring diagram, but it does not seem to match. What is the correct fuse for (from left to right) Pump, Blower, Ignition, Horn, Nav and the fuse above the cigarette lighter? I can make out the bilge pump lettering, so I can probably figure that one out, but what of the others?
